Junior State Tournament Rules
This list is intended to remind coaches and umpires of the tournament rules for the 16 & Under Junior American Legion State Tournament. All rules of the State Handbook will be followed. This is intended as a summary.
All players must have been born on or after August 1, 1987.
ANY player or coach ejected for any reason from a game will not be allowed to continue to participate in the tournament. Head coaches, this is your responsibility. You must remind your players and coaches of this rule. Do not put our umpires in the uncomfortable position of having to eject a player or coach.

No Courtesy Runners
DH for any player per WIAA rule
Re-Entry allowed
No pitcher may pitch more than 12 innings or make 4 appearances in a 3 consecutive calendar day period.
Collision Rule: Players must avoid contact at all costs. If the runner could have avoided the collision and reached base, or attempted to dislodge the ball, the runner shall be declared out. The ball is dead and all other base runners return to the last touched base at the time of the interference. However, if a fielder blocks the path of the base runner, contact may be made as long as it is not flagrant.
Any flagrant or malicious contact will result in immediate ejection of the player.
Force Play Slide Rule: If a player does not make a legal slide in a direct line between the two bases on a force play, the runner and batter runner are both out with less than two outs. Please review the rules as to what a legal slide is.
All coaches must be dressed in a full team uniform per the State Handbook.
The official Legion Baseball patch must be displayed on all team uniforms per State Handbook.
Coin Flip will determine home team. Loser of the coin flip has option as to which dugout they wish to keep.
Baraboo will always use the 1st base dugout.
